Big Fat Tomato Day and Pepperpalooza April 7, 2012

Big Big Fun!  The biggest fattest selection of tomato plants and lots of experts on hand to help you have your most successful summer vegetable garden ever.  The largest selection of heirloom tomatoes and heirloom peppers you'll see anywhere around! This event draws some of our biggest crowds of the year.  We've our famous salsa tasting and employee salsa competition, booths, food, experts, discounts and big big fun!  This is also where you can get the giant pumpkin seedling for the giant pumpkin contest in the fall.

Giant Pumpkin Contest September 22-28, 2012

Come get your Giant Pumpkin Seedling at our Big Fat Tomato day and bring it back during our Fall tree sale for the Giant Pumpkin Contest.  Last Year's Winner won a $300 gift certificate!  If you like pumpkins and you like a challenge; this contest might be for you!

Ugly Plant Sale September 22-30, 2012

Some plants just don't meet our standards or we just have just too many after the long, hot summer.  So once per year, we send those ugly plants packing!  Our loss is your gain as we clear out the less-than-perfect plants.

Henderson Experimental Gardens Open House

A piece of History, right here in Fresno. Henderson's Experimental Gardens was established in the early 1920's by William Henderson.  Seldom seen and closed to the public, Henderson Experimental Gardens is a key location for our growing, grafting and production operations.  It's also where we grow poinsettias!
A few times a year we open it to the public for viewing AND shopping.  Rare opportunities not to be missed!
